NVTZ discussed their national strategy in every region and made a plan with broad support

There is a shift from control to connection, from knowing to not-knowing as a starting point for wisdom, and from hierarchies to relational networks. This transition doesn’t only require new policies, but a fundamentally different way of being-in-the-world where supervisory board is no longer just a ‘role’, but a dialogue-based practice of care.

Multi phase / multi event: Recording small regional dialogues sessions, and making sure all the insights inform national policy with NVTZ

BACKGROUND: As part of the preparation for the 2030 vision of NVTZ, supervisory board members from the healthcare and welfare sector participated in sessions organised throughout the country to provide input on NVTZ’s vision and discuss the future role of supervisors in the sector.

PROGRAM: The days consisted of three parts, each addressing a theme. Each part started with a plenary presentation, after which small groups were formed to explore the theme further. Each part concluded with a plenary return to discuss what was decided in each group.

ECHO IN ACTION: Participants scanned the QR code to record their conversations. A facilitator ensured the plenary sessions were recorded. At the end of the day, facilitators used ECHO to present a synthesis highlighting the most important themes. In one case, the groups asked for a menu card for “supervision with courage” - the immediacy and relevance of the output delighted and gave fresh energy to the group. ECHO strengthened knowledge sharing while preserving valuable personal interaction between participants. The team analysed the insights from all the sessions and this report is helping to shape the definitive future vision of NVTZ.
