We're excited to announce that last week, Dembrane became an official partner of the Global Democracy Coalition (GDC), a multi-stakeholder alliance of over 150+ democracy organisations worldwide. We're honoured to join their network working to protect and advance democracy globally.

About the Coalition

The GDC has evolved into a dynamic platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, learning and advocacy, addressing the pressing challenges global democracies face. The Coalition works strategically on key issues, bringing together diverse stakeholders to drive action, influence policies, and amplify the voices of those dedicated to democratic resilience. Their work includes organising regional forums, leading advocacy campaigns like #ThankYouDemocracy Supporting the Summit for Democracy 2023, and coordinating civil society input into major democracy summits.

Our Role

As a technology partner, we're supporting the GDC network with tools specifically designed for democratic processes. Our platform helps organisations running citizen assemblies and stakeholder consultations turn hours of recorded dialogue into structured insights - maintaining full audit trails and participant feedback loops that are essential for democratic legitimacy.

Whether it's a citizen assembly deliberating on climate policy or a municipality consulting residents on urban planning, the technical requirements are the same: secure, compliant infrastructure that preserves context and enables transparent reporting back to participants.

Looking ahead

As democracy faces growing threats worldwide, the GDC remains committed to bring democracy organisations together around common goals, empowering democratic actors, fostering cross-regional collaboration and learning, and driving concrete actions to protect and strengthen democracy for the future. We are excited to join them on their important mission.

Our role is to ensure these organisations have the technical tools they need to document, analyse, and report on their democratic engagement work effectively.
